Rightly or wrongly we use calcium excretion per unit volume GFR calculated
as [Ca]u*[Creat]s/[Creat]u. Values less than 0.03 mmol/L are considered
consistent with FHH. This was from an editorial in Lancet i (1982):488-489.
The serum sample should be taken when fasting and the urine collected at
approx same time as blood.
Hope this helps and doesn't just add another cut-off value!
