If you visit www.immqas.org.uk/csfguidelines.pdf [Appendix 2] we include a calculation that corrects for serum bilirubin contribution to CSF bilirubin. Try our suggested approach should correct. Note that raised CSF protein can also contribute to spectrophotometrically determined apparent CSF bilirubin concentration.
