Hello Jonathan,
Part of this problem is due to the fact that replying to an original e-mail
from the mail-base sends the reply by default to the original sender rather
than the group. Most other lists I am a member of, including the POCT list,
operate by ensuring the default recipient of a rely-to e-mail is the list
rather than the individual who sent it. I would assume this is a setting
that the list moderator needs to amend rather than individuals on the list.
Possibly the ACB-CLIN-CHEM default recipient has been set like this for some
reason I am unaware of but I believe a lot of information is lost to the
wider group by having this 'incorrect' default reply-to setting.
Regards, Billy Graham.

Subject: The ACB mailbase: a core tool for knowledge management in
Laboratory Medicine
It 's very helpful when the originator collates the answers and posts a
summary of responses to the mailbase. Some responders certainly like to
respond directly to the originator, rather than to the group. It's
probably best if the summary anonymises the responses.
We'll be picking this issue up in the National electronic Library of
Health for Laboratory Medicine, when we identify the core knowledge
resources.
... does anyone feel like writing some FAQs based on the existing
archive?
