One of the many reasons for having a good Chemical Pathologist with an
active lipid clinic in the place as well as a Clinical Biochemist in
every department. Someone who is well trained in this field, up to date
and prescribes the drugs for his patients is clearly going to offer far
better advice than those of us who do not.
If it were a case of following a flow chart then it would be a
diffferent matter.

Hi everyone,
What do others think about biochemist(non medical) advising on drug
treatment?
This comes from the last ACB case about hyperlipidaemia and advising
about
statin Rx.
