Quick summary incase anyone gets asked this question again and trawls the
archives of the mailbase to find the answer.
Acetylation status can be assessed by genotyping by Edith Sim's group in
Oxford from a small EDTA blood sample (5ml), knowing the ethnic origin of
the patient is helpful for interpretation and doesn't require the patient
to be taking the drug at time of sampling.
Phenotyping can be carried out by a group in Cardiff (Paul Routledge), and
there is also a group in Bristol are looking into it

Quite suprised at the number of replies I've had from people who have had
much the same request over the ast year or so. This might have gone out
with the Ark, but in some cases the tide seems to be coming back in again
(very slowly).
Thanks to all who replied
