The half-life of Co-Hb is as follows:
4 - 6 hours when the patient is on room
40 - 80 minutes on 100% oxygen
15 - 30 minutes on hyperbaric oxygen.

Plasma lactate suggested as a measure of tissue hypoxia when the
CO-Hb has returned to "normal"
