One of our physicians has a patient with a large pelvic mass of probable ovarian origin, ascites and a pleural effusion. We have received a sample of the pleural fluid with a request to find out whether it contains ascitic fluid due to leakage from the peritoneum. A quick literature search offers no suggestions. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in anticipation
