I am surveying PCR use for enterovirus detection on CSF specimens for
inpatients. We are trying to get a feel for how many institutions are doing
this assay inhouse as several pediatricians have approached the lab with
requests for this methodology based on the fact that the literature strongly
supports its use (it does) and that "most medical centers do it in house and
we should to" (unknown).
If you do it inhouse or have considered bringing it inhouse and subsequently
decided not to; please let me know.
Thanks
