Given the drug kinetics of T4, it seems utterly pointless to analyse vitreous TFT's unless this is to improve the Trust's cash take from the coronor's category II fees

Subject: Post mortem specimens
I've been asked to analyse TFTs on both blood and vitreous humor (VH). My initial thoughts are..... (1) You cannot measure hormones in VH, (2) Post mortem samples tend to be haemolysed (therefore will affect measurement).
Can anyone advise me?
Is there a list of analytes which can be measured in VH.... apart from Glu, Lac, amino acids. What about drugs of abuse? Therapeutic drugs?
Thanks for your help.
