Alpha make a colorimetric method - expensive, but seems to correlate well with our ISE method: look at:

Subject: Re: Serum Lithium
We use a Roche Integra 400 for TDM, DAO and back up for some essential
biochemistry. The ISE module is equipped with Li and performs very well. As
we use barcodes which identify the sample type (serum / Li-hep) no tests are
performed on Li-hep plasma (bi-directional link with LIS).

Onderwerp: Serum Lithium
We have been using the Bayer 654 analyser to measure serum Lithium. We now
find that the manufacturers are no longer able to supply a satisfactory 'Cal
Pak' to calibrate. A valiant effort to revive an old flame photometer was
unsuccessful.
Any suggestions for an alternative method?
