It may be useful to measure this girl's serum angiotensin converting enzyme
(ACE) level to look for low levels.
MacFadyen RJ & Struthers AD in their paper in J Cardiovasc Pharmacol 1997;
29(1): 119-24 studying compliance with lisinopril showed that a serum ACE
value of < 5U/L demonstrated that that drug was taken at least on that
particular day.

We have a 15 yr old girl who may be surreptitiously taking, or being
maliciously administered, an ACE inhibitor. Does anyone have abn assay for
urine metabolites of this class of drugs?
