A morning discussion group for special librarians
We all lead increasingly busy lives, rarely allowing ourselves (or being
allowed to take?) time to meet and talk with fellow professionals on issues
of mutual concern and interest. If you are working in professional
isolation within your own organisation or would benefit from meeting people
from other sectors, this session is for you. It is an opportunity to
exchange ideas and experience and extend your personal and professional
network.
Rediscover the human face of librarianship. Refresh your knowledge, find
solutions to your problems, and step back for a morning to see the wood
emerge from the trees.
This is not a lecture, not a workshop and not a training course. It is an
opportunity to brainstorm topics of mutual interest with colleagues.
The third meeting of 2002 will look at the fraught and challenging world of
electronic journals. How significant are they to your service? Are there
any e-journals in the core subject areas which you cover? What about the
fraught world of licensing, and how do you go about dealing with all those
publishers? All these questions .
An invaluable opportunity to air and share your views
