When you (or a Doctor, or a nurse even) save a search history on ADITUS via
an NHSnet PC, the Search history information is saved on the NHS Server at
OVID. If you, or the Doctor, or the Nurse, try to retrieve that search from
Home, or a NON-NHS PC, you will get the message
"there are no search histories saved under this email address"
This is because when you access ADITUS from outside the NHS you go to a
DIFFERENT SERVER !!!!!!
ALSO
If a doctor, or a nurse.....etc saves a search history at Hospital A, using
Hospital A's username and Password and either Moves job to Hospital B, or
visits the Library at Hospital B (whilst attending a clinic) and logs in
using Hospital B's Username & Password, ........you guessed it, no search
histories !!!!!!!
This is because the saved histories are tied to the logon details as well as
the email addresses you save them under
........ I have tested these scenarios out across different hospital sites
today in Manchester and Liverpool........and OVID's Support people have
confirmed that the reason is you are accessing different servers.
