ferget it andrew, nobody's gonna give you a satisfactory answer to that
question, cause nobody has one. the term has more to do with fashion and
personal style then with aesthetics or history or anything like that. an
essential part of the cocktail party, doctoral thesis arsenal. know what I
mean? sometimes the signal to noise ratio gets fucked up, as in the case of
pomoists providing considerably more noise then signal, and the only thing
you can really do is to try to ignore it. it seems to be losing its appeal
at this point anyway. soon the only place you'll hear it mentioned will be
in k-mart or on jerry springer.
hey holden, or gary, or whoever you are, this is a great line. I'm gonna
save it. thanks-
