The correlation between the ward and and the lab oratory results is
good and not as marked as you find. Here, the Roche Modular is used for
total and the Roche Integra for direct bilirubin. The use of the blood gas
machine for neonatal bilirubin ahs provided a much better service - both
from the clinical and laboratory point of view. There were some initial
problems with the correlation between the two methods but with software
revisions these are no longer relevant.
