medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I wish somebody could answer John Mundy's question. I included Winthir
because I found him fascinating when I ran across him. There seem to be a
lot of "popular cults" like this in Germany (and elsewhere?), never
officially authorized but widely believed, and very hard to find
information about.
