medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hi,
I'm having trouble finding a reference for this. It may be a patched
together quote, or it may be a misquotation, so the possibilities are quite
wide. It occurs in the York Cycle, play xii, The Annunciation and
Visitation:
Deus pater disposuit salutem fieri in medio terre etc.
I love the "etc"! I've tried the Use of York, and the various "search the
vulgate" engines on the Net, but no luck so far. Am I missing something
blindingly obvious?
Thanks
Tony
