INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC SPEAKING
Wednesday 28 November, London
There are still a few places available on next week's introductory one-day
course on Public Speaking, invaluable for anyone who is required to make
presentations to groups but who has not had any training.
Participants will be given many useful tips and insights which will help
them to deliver presentations more effectively and with confidence. They
will also have opportunities to practice the skills they have learned in a
supportive environment.
BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING
By the end of the event participants will have discovered:
* useful techniques for managing nerves and building confidence
* how to deliver a speech or talk appropriately, with reference to dress,
body language, voice and language
* how to build a relationship with an audience
* how to give your audience a purpose in listening
SPECIAL NOTES
The trainer will ask participants to come to the workshop prepared to give
two very brief talks, one on a subject of personal interest and the other on
an area relating to work. The first talk will be to a small working group,
and the second to the full group.
No participant will be pressurised to give a presentation, but to get the
most from the workshop participants will be encouraged to use this
opportunity to practise their skills and receive feedback in a safe
environment.
WORKSHOP LEADER: Teohna Williams
Teohna is a trainer for LEVELheaded specialising in all aspects of managing
