I've been concerned for some time now about the potential amount of needless
duplication of effort that the PN could produce. Is there really any
justification for every library authority in the country to spend time
working on their own sets of instructions for Hotmail?
The same waste of effort applies to recommended websites/links. I can
understand duplication of effort when it comes to selecting stock, because
you can't use it unless you are in one specific location. But with Web-based
resources they are accessible to everyone wherever they are.
EARLWeb was a good starting point. Is there anything happening
co-operatively anywhere?
