Visiting Assistant Professor/Postdoctoral Associate in Geodynamics.
Indiana University Department of Geological Sciences announces a
one-year combined research and teaching position in the field of
geodynamics. We are seeking a capable research scientist with
interests in analysis of crustal deformation and lithosphere dynamics.
The scientist will take part in a collaborative project on Western US
geodynamics, and will have an opportunity to take part in field-based
research projects in the Tien Shan, Philippines, and central U.S.
Teaching responsibilities will include 2 courses per year.
Requirements include a Ph.D. degree in geophysics or geodesy.
Preference will be given to candidates with strong computational
skills, experience with GPS data processing algorithms and/or modelling
of crustal deformation, and willingness to participate in field work.
The appointment is for one year, with reappointment subject to
available funding. Salary is from $30,000 to $35,000, commensurate with
