medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
> David Farmer has a column about Mylor in his Oxford
> Dictionary of Saints
> (4th ed.)
In the 3rd edition of this book, which I consulted
about Saint Remi, Farmer claims that Remi's feast is
observed at Reims on its original date, January 13.
But I know from personal experience that the Remois
celebrate the feast on October 1. In fact Reims must
be the only place in France to fete Remi rather than
Therese of Lisieux who shares this date. Does anyone
know when the rest of the world celebrates Remi's
feast?
