This Executive Briefing is designed to provide senior staff who are
responsible for Best Value reviews with a framework for conducting a review.
You will be aware of the importance of Best Value reviews in determining
operational decisions; therefore links will be made to the annual library
plan and the new public library standards.
Best Value has set a challenging performance framework. This Briefing will
give participants practical advice on providing services in accordance with
the principles of Best Value, build on their existing knowledge of Best
Value, give them practical expert advice about conducting reviews and
complying with requirements and provide an excellent opportunity to share
