A one-day workshop, packed with practical advice on how to produce an
effective newsletter:
Producing and editing a newsletter
17 October, London
The newsletter is an invaluable marketing tool for library and information
services.
Newsletters can be used to attract new users, to inform existing users about
new services and special events, and to inform stakeholders about success
stories and achievements. A well-edited and appropriately designed
newsletter can contribute greatly towards increasing awareness and usage of
your services, and raising the profile of your organisation.
BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING?
This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity both to
evaluate existing newsletters and to discover new approaches and ideas. They
will be given practical ideas that can easily be put into effect upon
returning to work.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE:
* discovered what makes a successful newsletter
* examined how to produce a newsletter that is appropriate and
appealing to their target audience
* considered the image and identity of their newsletter
* identified how to acquire, analyse and prioritise the content of
their newsletter
* discovered how to write or recognise interesting and exciting
features
* learned how their newsletter can help towards meeting organisational
objectives
* used design to enhance the impact of their newsletter and encourage
reading
