The invoice itself does not take time but have you had a case of non payment. I had one for £25 and the accounts section were going to get heavy, it must have cost a fair amount more that the £25, just in staff time.

It takes me 2 minutes or so to fill in an invoice request which is then
dealt with by my finance section. The payment goes directly into my SMR
account. I certainly wouldn't bother otherwise.
