Dear Jason
There's a lot of material out there, it all depends on what you're looking for.
Eg,
Children, Advertising, and Nutrition. A Commentary on the 1993 National
Food Alliance Report "Children: Advertisers' Dream, Nutrition Nightmare?".
Barwise, Prof.P. (1994). £25.00. (Price includes a copy of
C. Sharp's analysis of the references used in the NFA report)
Children and Advertising: Policy Implications of Scholarly Research.
Goldstein, Prof.J. (1994). £10.00.
You can get these and others from http://www.adassoc.org.uk/publ.html.
Also, if you join the the IPA at http://www.ipa.co.uk/ as a guest and
search for 'children' you'll find a lot of material.
Then, there is of course the self-regulatory body of the advertising
industry and government agencies with their rules and regulations regarding
advertising with/for children.
Best regards,
Oliver Haas
