Right, I remember it started off as more of an ad hoc thing and was
later institutionalized...also, if I remember correctly, the Albigensian
Crusade was also more under Fransiscan control, and then it became more
of a Dominican thing when the Inquisition was formalized...? Or am I
getting mixed up? I know there was something about Fransiscans being
involved early on.

Yes, it does...thanks! Albigensian Crusade era is what I mainly need
(although I like to get the broader context too so I'm interested in
whatever touches on it as well).
