Co-East is delighted to announce the appointment of Linda Berube to the
post of Co-East Plus Project Officer.
Linda Berube will be joining Co-East from her post as Research and
Development Co-ordinator for the EARL Consortium of Public Library
Networking in early October to undertake the 12 month Co-East Plus
Project. Linda brings with her considerable expertise in developing
national resource sharing initiatives and has been coordinator of the high
profile ‘Ask A Librarian’ service.
Mike Hosking, Chair of Co-East and Head of Libraries and Information in
Cambridgeshire said ‘Linda’s experience with EARL and other resource
sharing projects will be a significant asset to the Co-East Plus project.
We anticipate the project will build on the very successful Co-East
initiative by creating a resource sharing network in all library sectors
within the region. It signals a very exciting potential development in
starting to build a truly cross-sectoral resource sharing network in the
East of England. We feel sure that Linda will make a significant
contribution to helping us achieve this goal’.
Co-East Plus has been jointly funded by the British Library’s Co-operation
and Partnership Programme and the Research Support Libraries Programme
(RSLP) and aims to take the existing regional resource sharing network
established by Co-East beyond the public library environment into other
library sectors in the region. Co-East Plus is a partnership involving Co-
East, ELISA, the University of East Anglia, the Open University and the
British Library, with technical support from Fretwell Downing Informatics.
