*New Online Bookshop Registration Guide!
1. Log on to: http://bookshop.geolsoc.org.uk
2. In order to Register you will in effect, have to log a 'dummy order'
(for
the first time only) as follows:
3. Click on the 'Browse' facility and select your chosen publication -
add
this to your 'basket'.
4. At the bottom of the Main Menu on the left-hand-side, you will see
'Checkout'
5. Click on 'Checkout' which will automatically bring up a form asking
you
to supply your e-mail address and to confirm that you are a 'new
customer' -
then 'proceed'.
6. The site will then automatically take you through to the Online
Bookshop
Registration Form. Here you will be asked to supply details such as
name,
address, and membership number (if applicable) - then 'proceed'.
7. At this point your details will be confirmed and the Online Bookshop
will
advise your new Online Bookshop Membership Number (please keep a note of
this). Then 'proceed'.
8. You will now be taken to a screen which will show your 'basket' and
any
publications you have chosen to 'order'. However, if at this point you
decide not to go ahead with the order (because it was your first time of
registration), then you can simply click on the 'remove' button, which
will
clear this screen.
9. You can now continue to browse the Online Bookshop.
10. Once you log-off, the site will 'remember' your membership details
(if
you have a system which recognises 'cookies' - if not, then you will
have to
re-submit your e-mail address each time you enter the site (when
prompted))., so that when you next log-on, you will not have to go
through
this process again!
