medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
An interesting point. Surnames do seem to be coming in. There is Stephan
Langton Abp of Canterbury under John, Thomas Becket (sometimes a Becket),
Philip Marc, mentioned in Magna Carta (and subject of a fine historical
novel, under appreciated: The Sheriff of Nottingham by Richard Kluger.

(And may I say how much I value and enjoy these daily postings!)
