I have been asked to write a report looking at the way we order items, which
suppliers we use and how we could improve the whole process (with the
possibility going to tender or consortium buying). We currently have a lot of
suppliers each providing specific items of stock and we want to reduce this
number and improve discounts etc. This is something I have never been involved
in before and was hoping to get some advice.
Has anyone else done a similar report that I could look at?
Could anyone suggest any sources of information or anybody I should speak to?
