COME AND HELP US DEVELOP A PARTNERSHIP APPROACH TO COMMUNITY HEALTH
INFORMATION IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE
We are looking for a key member of staff in Cambridgeshire to help us with
the next stages of turning our challenging and exciting plans for public
library services into fact. We have recently reorganised our Service, so
that we can react positively at local level to the changes facing all
public libraries as well as reshape our services to meet the needs of our
local communities. This post will work in areas of health information
service development and delivery, which we have been identified as a key
priority for the future.
COMMUNITY HEALTH INFORMATION DEVELOPMENT OFFICER REF:CAL010
Based at the Monkfield Surgery, Cambourne and at Huntingdon Library,
Huntingdon
Grade: Scale SO1/2 Salary: £19,770 - £22,971 Hours: 37 per week 2 year
fixed term contract.
Arising from a creative partnership between the Library Service and the
local primary and community health care service, this new post will play a
key role in defining, understanding and delivering health information at
local level in Cambourne as well as developing access to this information
County-wide. You will work alongside the local healthcare professionals in
delivering health information responsive to the needs of the Cambourne
community and the staff at the Monkfield Surgery. Cambourne is an entirely
new group of three villages currently being developed to the West of
Cambridge with a township centre in Great Cambourne; you will play a
central role in contributing to the realisation of the vision of the
provision of joint Health and Library Information Services for these new
communities with a total population planned to reach 10,000.
In addition you will lead the work of the Library Service throughout the
County in developing healthcare information in partnership with other key
providers. You will need excellent communication, inter-personal and
project management skills. This is a very special opportunity to make a
difference in demonstrating the value of the Library Service in meeting the
information needs of local communities. You will be a graduate with a
record of innovation and experience in working and thinking imaginatively
and creatively. You will need information and communication technology
skills and have at least four years’ experience in project or research work
