or, Durer's great Triumphal Arch of Maxmillion I --apparently a huge thing
made up of scores of wood cuts. Huizinga, i believe, mentions that such
(transitory and temporary, albeit lavish) triumphal arches are to be found
mentioned in late medieval sources, on the occasion of
Entries by appropriately well-heeled Muckety-Mucks).
