medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Tom Izbicki <[log in to unmask]> asked:
>If I might add a request in this line, are there any sequences for feasts
>of St. Peter?
Adest dies celebris, Quo lumen
Nunc luce alma splendiscent per orbem (St. Peter's Chains)
Sollemnitate rutilans apostolica lux adest (ditto)
Those are the only ones I noted in the long list in the article on
sequences in Julian's _Dictionary of Hymnology_ (1908 impression of 1907
revised edition), although there were five or six more for Ss. Peter and
Paul.
