There is some discussion of denudation rates in :
Abbott, L.D. et al., 1997. Measurement of tectonic surface uplift rate in a
young collisional mountain belt. Nature, 385: 501-507.
Memory tells me that there has been quite a lot of work done on this in New
Zealand, but I don't have a reference to hand.
