my point was not that jesus annulled it -- on the contrary, the documents
suggest that that's a pauline devt -- but that for those making the claims
of virgin birth and incarnation, the old law has been annulled. no?

i am perfectly willing to be corrected on this. it was my understanding
that by the time we have reached incarnational theology and such issues as
virgin birth and immaculate conception, not only has jewish law been
abrogated and considered "carnal", but xns who show interest in it are
denounced as judaizers. are you saying that there are no xn theologians at
this point arguing that jesus abrogated the law? i understand that the
variety of "xn" communities and beliefs is great and that there was plenty
of variety and complexity, but specifically the ones heading in the
direction of incarnationism seem to represent the clearest rejection of the
law. again, just impressions.
