>Hello,
>Can anybody tell me where I could find images (in writing, sculpture,
>painting etc) of women as Wisdom. I am familiar with Boethius' image in the
>consolation of philosophy, and of the male image of Wisdom in the play of
>the same name but I was wondering if the female image was widespread c.
>13-15th century.
You might also look at the chapter on Wisdom in Barbara Newman's

(Berkeley, 1987).
