medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
On labyrinths I can alert the list to a forthcoming book by Craig
Wright (Harvard University Press, published next month), The
Maze and the Warrior. He recommends three books on
labyrinths: Hermann Kern, Through the Labyrinth, now
available in a revised English edition, and studies by Penelope
Doob and Paolo Santarcangeli. There are also useful studies by
Nigel Pennick.
Craig's book (which I read in MS) is scholarly yet accessible; he
too deplores the 'touchy-feely' nonsense that is floating around.
