medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Doctores,
I'm looking for some examples of something I thought
was a fairly common feature of medieval theology, but
I must be looking in all the wrong places. I have
been under the impression that just as the New
Testament paints Christ as the Second Adam without
using the phrase so also does the New Testament paint
Christ as a New Moses. And while I can find places in
the New Testament where that understanding seems
prevalent, I had thought that I had read it in
Augustine or Jerome and other medieval writers too.
But at the moment I can't find a single reference. So
have I been imagining this all this time, or am I just
looking at the wrong texts?
With Thanks,
Larry Swain
