medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Don't have time to really look into this myself; but does not Gilbert of Poitiers (Gilbert de la Porree) use the term 'personalitas' in his commentaries on Boethius' De trinitate? My recollection is that he uses it in contrast to 'persona' precisely to distinguish "legal person" from "individual person" (the latter of which is his interest). Don't know if this will help.
Spring is in the air here in Chicago.
