medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Carol
curiouser and curiousier - The Vita Prima (the 8th c. Latin life that is the
earliest to give details of B's birth and childhood) tells us that her father
was a pagan of the lesser nobility and her mother his slave, also, preumably,
pagan.
Thanks for the reference - I believe I do have the Sellner article somewhere.
if you are interested in pursuing the B thing further I have references I
would be happy to share with you (off line probably?).
Diane
