medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Greetings--
I am new to the list, and glad to have found it.
My main area of interest is the theology of Christian catechetical
writings and preaching from Lateran IV to Luther. I am currently
working on the general trends in the interpretation of the Ten
Commandments during this period. I have also enjoyed studying the
doctrine of the Trinity in Thomas Aquinas, the writings of Mechthild
of Magdeburg, and Nicholas of Cusa's use of (Pseudo-)Dionysius.
A biographical note: I have a B.A. in Religious Studies from Yale and
an M.A. in Theology with a concentration in Church History from Notre
Dame. I am expecting to receive an M.Div. from Princeton Theological
Seminary this May, and am hoping to enter a Ph.D. program in Medieval
Church History this fall.
Thanks,
Jonathan Hall
