Since the new DC web site is leaking out ... The 'Using Dublin Core in XML' DCMI Working Draft that I edited and was last published in July 2000: http://www.dublincore.org/documents/2000/07/14/dcmes-xml/ (formerly at http://www.ilrt.bristol.ac.uk/people/cmdjb/research/metadata/dc/xml/wd-dc-xml.html ) was the starting place for this DC/XML work, and we accepted comments on dc-datamodel till August 2000 which I updated as an issues list: http://www.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/people/cmdjb/research/metadata/dc/xml/dcmes-xml-issues.html and revised the document after that. After the DC meeting in Ottawa, I got an indication from the DCMI that the revised document was looking OK. I updated this in December 2000 to be a draft DCMI Proposed Recommendation (PREC) with some final changes and have recently been trying to get the XML Schema to work (not yet done) and adding some word changes suggested recently by Carl Lagoze. The resulting current draft is: An XML Encoding of Simple Dublin Core Metadata http://stage.dublincore.org/documents/2000/11/dcmes-xml/ This is nearly ready for release but the latest version isn't on the new DC web site - it hasn't been copied across from this staging area. (Note http://www.dublincore.org/documents/dcmes-xml/ points to the working draft not the new document) Dave
