I am writing on behalf of an Ancient History student at Oxford University, Mariza Petropoulou, who is writing a D.Phil. thesis on Animal Sacrifice in Greek Religion, Judaism and Christianity in 100 BC-200 AD, that is covering Late Hellenistic to early Roman period. She
has been looking at not only literary and historical authors but also inscriptions. She has constricted her geographical extent to Greece (mainland and islands), Asia Minor, Cyprus, and the Near East (but she is NOT including data from Italy or Egypt). She is willing to incorporate data from animal bones but has not been able to find many (or any). If there is anyone who
could help her, her email address is
[log in to unmask], and her address is Maria-Zoe Petropoulou, Exeter College, Oxford OX1 3DP.
With thanks,
Priscilla Lange
