regarding online journal
Im a student in archaeology and also zooarchaeology of which I intend to
specialice in the latter.
1) I think an online journal is a very good idea, simple because you can
avoid various journals, books, dissertations et cetera from getting "stuck
to collect dust" in a specific museum, library or institution. The
situation today is that often you have to go to the institution, sometimes
in another country to get that "hard to get" extremely important journal
for your work, and you loose a good deal of time for that.
2) Another good thing about a online journal is that when you are in the
field you often need a journal or a book for further work and analysis of
the material on site. It could be very helpful to simply download various
journals while in the field.
3) A lot of people today have a flatbed scanner or access to it somewhere,
they are also useful for scanning text. Why not scan some of the (paper)
journals and go publishing them in the online journal
Best wishes for the journal. Jesper S. Østergaard.

PS! When I finish my speciality/dissertation I will publish it online,
hopefully in this forum if available.
