Dear All,

I think it is time to send a reminder of the guidelines concerning the
use of the list. Please, find enclosed the basic document at the end of
this message. Here I would like to reiterate two points that quite
regularly get ignored:

- please, NEVER send attachments to the list; you can either refer to a
web page or propose to send an attachment and eventually send it only to
individuals who require it

- if you click "reply" your message will go to the whole list. We get
quite a few messages that are obviously private, please remember that
you'll have to type the address of the sender if s/he is the only
recipient of your message.

Thank you.
Umberto

================================================================
Welcome to ZOOARCH
================================================================

ZOOARCH is devoted to Zooarchaeology, that is the analysis of animal
remains from archaeological sites to reconstruct the cultural lifeways
of people and the inter-relationships between people, animals, and the
environment. This list aims to promote the flow of ideas, skills and
information, and offers support to fellow zooarchaeologists.

We seek messages to stimulate discussion on methodologies, analyses,
interpretation, to help with sources of information and most of all to
allow us all to share and improve our knowledge. Zooarchaeologists of
all status, students, professionals and amateurs are welcome to
contribute.

Thank you for joining, and we look forward to hearing from you.

================================================================
List Netiquette
================================================================
As a JISCmail user you MUST abide by the JISCmail Acceptable Use Policy
(http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/docs/policy.htm)

There are also some general guidelines on using lists at
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/docs/guidelines.htm

And here are some guidelines for this list

- Do NOT send attachments to this list. Many people who do not use the
same email program or word-processor software as you will have problems
reading your attachments.

- If you have a promotional message, such as a conference announcement,
a job advert or details of a training course, please send it to the
listowner

- Keep your message short and on-topic, and use a meaningful subject
line. If you do this people are more likely to read it.

- When replying to a message, quote part of the original message, so
people can understand the context. But you don't have to quote the
entire message.

================================================================
