Elaine Anderson has published several papers which deal with primarily
Pleistocene mustelids, but always grounded on good smples of modern animals.
Try
Anderson, Elaine 1977 "Pleistocene Mustelidae (Mammalia, Carnivora) from
Fairbanks, Alaska" Bulletin of the Museum of Comparitive Zoology, Volume
148(1).
Also, Elaine has a graduate student who is doing her thesis on mustelid
post-cranial adaptations, you might consider contacting Elaine at the Denver
Museum of Science and Nature to inquire about it. I don't think she (the
student) has published anything yet.
