Post-Doctoral Research Assistant:
Vehicle Performance and Emissions Monitoring System
The Centre for Transport Studies seeks a research assistant for a project
funded under the Foresight Vehicle LINK programme to develop and
demonstrate a real time Vehicle Performance and Emissions Monitoring
System (VPEMS).
The VPEMS device will be fitted within vehicles to monitor driver/vehicle
performance and the level of emissions internal and external to the vehicle.
Potential applications of VPEMS include; monitoring of environmental
compliance, identification of polluters and effective management and
maintena
We are seeking a post-doctoral research assistant to develop algorithms
and database systems to evaluate and analyse emissions and travel
behaviour data that will be generated by the VPEMS. It is expected that
research papers on the work will be co-written and presented by the
successful candidat
Applicants should have a PhD (or be in the process of completing one) with a
background in Transport, Mathematics, Statistics, Geomatics, Civil
Engineering, Environmental Studies or a related discipline. Knowledge of

at the RA1A scale of £18,909 - £27,347 (inclusive of London Weighting).
