Hi Graham,
I used a Prentice Hall book by Mario Triola that contained a great deal of
data sets from
a wide array of possible areas of statistical study. Data were in Excel and
Minitab formats.
See
http://occ.awlonline.com/bookbind/pubbooks/triola_awl/chapter98/deluxe.html
for information
on the Triola textbook. Data sets are also available from this site.
Good luck.

Hi Folks,
a not uncommon request I know (but honestly I have searched various
archives!); does anyone have (or know where I can find) data sets suitable
for students of an introductory (non specialist) course to 'play with'.
I'm not looking for huge data sets. Ideally the data should be of a
biological nature, even more ideally in an SPSS format - but I'm not greedy,
any sort of 'offer' would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Graham
