Hi Joe,
My experience is that the book will not matter. It is an extremely
difficult (if not impossible) task to
teach students of any discipline a one-semester course in stats if they are
less than thrilled to be there.
The textbook that I used was more panoramic in that it did not cater to
business students exclusively.
That text was Elementary Statistics by Mario Triola
(http://occ.awlonline.com/bookbind/pubbooks/triola_awl/chapter98/deluxe.html
). It was a wonderful
text from my perspective, but as I've said, I don't believe it will make too
much of a difference so
long as it is written for an introductory audience.
Good luck.

Subject: Intro text
The text I've been using to teach stats to business students has been
discontinued. Can anyone suggest a suitable text for a one-semester class
of business majors, most of whom aren't exactly thrilled at the prospect of
taking stats?
Thanks,
Joe
