Role play and simulation are important ways of
encouraging active learning and can be used in a wide range of
subjects to enhance students' learning and motivation.
This workshop is appropriate for lecturers, teachers and trainers in
further or higher education who wish to extend their repertoire of
teaching strategies.
Attending this seminar will help you to
· Distinguish between role play and simulation and relate them to your
own subject area
· Design your own role play scenarios
· Experience role play and simulation
· Use techniques for managing role play and simulation
The session will be led by Cecilia McKelvey and Sue Riley, who are
teacher trainers in the School of Post Compulsory Education and
Training.
